Central government sent notice
The Punjab government inform about this app in the month of November, after which, on the orders of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, the state government officials had asked Google to remove the app from the Google Play Store. On the request of the Punjab government, the central government had given notice to Google to remove the ‘2020 Sikh Referendum’ app under Section 79 (3) B of the Information Technology Act.
